What We Do
Over the past 35 years, we have designed, built or restructured some of the most powerful news and journalism companies in the world.
WE CAN CUT THE COST OF NEWS PRODUCTION BY 75%
We replace the traditional TV news ‘crew’ with one highly trained journalist, working alone with nothing but an iPhone.
No more TV news ‘crews’, no editors and no field producers.
This is television news done the way newspaper journalism is done – one reporter with their electronic pad and pencil.
GREAT STORYTELLING
If you’re going to take all the effort to produce quality news stories, you want to make sure someone is watching them.
That’s why we replace conventional TV news ‘packages’ – ie, reporter stand up, interview, b-roll, man on the street, we marry great journalism with Netflix and Hollywood storytelling.
It’s a combination that works.
We have taken most of our clients to #1 in their respective markets.
IT’S MORE THAN JUST NEWS
The cost-efficient production methods and compelling storytelling also work for companies, NGOs, and even national governments — anyone with a story they want to tell, information they want to convey, or a product they want to sell.
There is no need to hire an expensive production company to make a single video for you when you can train your staff to produce high-quality compelling video content over and over again.
FOCUSING ON THE VIEWER EXPERIENCE
Before Tesla, lots of other people were making electric cars. But they were not selling. They were not selling because, as Elon Musk said, ‘they look like golf carts’. Musk decided he wanted to design a car that people would want to own. His focus was on the driver experience.
There were other mobile phones before Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone in 2007. But Jobs’ primary focus was on what he called ‘the user experience’. All of his Apple and Mac products were specifically designed not from a purely engineering experience, but rather with a laser focus on the user experience.
Our bootcamps teach our participants to focus entirely on The Viewer Experience. We teach people to create video stories that viewers will want to watch. Stories that are engaging. Stories that capture and hold a viewer’s attention.
Our experience is that this approach works. Stations and networks that have adapted our techniques have experienced massive increases in both ratings and viewer engagement. People stay with stories and stay with the network.
