Can you turn this into compelling video?
HGTV remains our ‘go to’ place when there is nothing else on to watch – which is often.
The inherent drama or House Hunters (which one will they buy) combined with the sheer voyeruism of getting to look into other people’s homes (can you believe they way they live?), makes for endless hours of riveting entertainment.
As everything migrates to the web, the multi-billion dollar real estate business is not going to escape
Where once homes were sold with small classified ads jammed into the newspaper
The arrival of color to newspapers and then their initial migration to the web demanded that they have photos.
Without photos, no house would sell.
Now, as video comes to the web, every house for sale is going to need accompanying video.
So far, I have not been able to find any website for homes that incorporates what I would call a compelling video.
Most of them are just a compendium of still shots with some bad music behind them.
Last week we saw what Jdgregallen was able to do with his used car for sale.
Can we invent a similar format for selling a house?
$200 says we can.
Any takers?
There’s still a week to go and the field is wide open.

Check out our website, specifically the Real Estate Video Tours page. We produce creative real estate videos on the Mid North Coast of NSW of Australia for $295.00 per property. We shoot with HD broadcast equipment and spend a minimum of an hour at the property filming. Then it takes an hour to download the footage, we use HD tape, not HDSC cards. Then a further 2 hours to edit, add titles, music, then upload to our Youtube channel. Once the property sells we pull it down. Video is the future for all real estate we think…
