“DNMTFC!”
Today, we kicked off the first day of our 4-day intensive video literacy bootcamp at The Guardian in London.
The paricipants run a wide range, from a former Airline Pilot (Ken Craig) who is also an NYVS member to Helen Lewis from the UK Dept of the Treasury to Holly Graham from the Cooking Channel to Heleen van Berkel from The Netherlands and many others.
It’s an interesting mix.
What we find the most interesting is that most of these people have been sent by their employers to learn to make video for their websites. Â They are tired of hiring ‘professional’ production companies – companies with big budgets and big overheads.
It’s not surprising.
Today we did ‘cut the carrots’, but we’ll keep you posted on how folks are doing.
If you’re in London, come by and have a cup of coffee with us.
Glad to see you.
