It’s a LOT better than much of what I see on OWN at the moment
Captain John Roberts is a professional airline pilot
He’s also a member of NYVS.com
While his passion is flying, his dream is to create and produce a travel show for cable.
Here’s a pilot for a series he shot, edited and produced on his own.
This ‘pilot’ cost this pilot nothing but his time.
And I think it’s pretty damned good.
A lot better than many of the ‘professional’ pilots you see floating around networks.
And those can cost those networks up to $100,000 to make.
Do I think there’s something here?
You bet I do.
Not just for Captain John.. who did a stellar job… but for any cable network that is looking for fresh new ideas.
And at last count, I think there were about a thousand of those.
Each broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
And each paying anywhere from $50,000 to $350,000 an hour for content.
Anyone here with good Math SAT scores?
Fasten your seatbelts.
We’re all about to take off.

A wonderful preview of a show I would certainly watch. But… ‘fess up… how long have you been waiting to headline a post “A Pilot’s Pilot”?
