Not boring…
This afternoon the execs from STV, which stands for Scottish TV, are coming down to the BBC training in London.
Scotland, for those of you reading this in the US, is both an independent country… and not.
It’s an independent country that is also part of the UK, but not of England, which is another independent country.
Confusing?
Like everyone else, Scottish TV is under pressure from the global economic downturn.
They want to be able to give their viewers as much coverage of Scotland as they can, while holding down their costs.
The piece above was done by one of our trainees from BBC Scotand – which is part of The BBC, which is based here in London.
It’s a nice little story from Scotland, with a Scottish humor (or rather humour) to it.
And it incorporates the journalist on camera, which some people here seem to like.
Hopefully the meeting will go well.
I would not mind spending next spring in Scotland.
I hear the salmon fishing is great.
