Catherine Chao explains how to sell yourself and your work
We launched the beta-test version of New York Video School about a month ago, but we’re already seeing where we can expand the content.
These last two days we’ve been busy in the studios at W26th Street getting together a whole new run of instructional videos. Â Some of them cover using iPhones or flipcams, while others deal with how to work as a VJ.
Perhaps the most exciting is a whole set of modules on how to market and sell your fiction film. Yes, fiction.
It’s a big part of the business and a big opportunity
So film and online video marketing guru Catherine Chao is going to take us through the steps of taking a film to festivals, how to register, how to compete and how to win.. along with how to get those strings of award that mean so much.. and much much more.
Because even if you make a great film, it doesn’t work if no one sees it.
As Woody Allen said, (at least according to Lashan Browning, indy TV producer), “There’s no show without the business.”
We couldn’t agree more.
