We’re going into our third day at the Travel Channel Academy bootcamp here in Vail, Colorado.
We’ve made a partnership with Keystone Ski Resorts and we’re running a ski/shoot vacation for outdoor filmmakers.
The conditions have been great. Temps in the 30s, bright and sunny, but still plenty of snow – and plenty of topics to shoot!
The great thing about being out here is that there is no shortage of stuff to shoot.

Of course, I should also proofread my posts, too. I meant to type, “…a piece I edited three months ago.” – Chris

Agree with Dane, 100 percent.
After TCA at Keystone I busted out a piece I edit three months ago. I watched it and thought, “What the H*#L was I thinking?”. I had some really great shots but no story, no flow. I re-edited the piece in minutes with previously unused clips and immediately a story came to life right in front of me.
I’ve always had passion for shooting, and the TCA training has given me confidence to know I can actually do this.
Thanks Michael,

Just got done with this course. I make my living as a shooter and editor, so I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect from it.
Micheal’s lessons were like a slap in the face and a kick in the teeth!…we all need a a good beat down from time to time. It was a wake up call to why I started creating videos. My stories subjects may still be the same but the way I approach and execute the ideas will be forever changed.
Thanks,
Dane Henry
